onsemi will release a new 1.2-megapixel iToF (indirect Time-of-Flight) product. This compact sensor, with a 1/3-inch optical format, features backside illumination (BSI) and a global shutter design. It integrates a depth computation module that enables direct output of depth information. The internal caching mechanism effectively reduces motion artifacts caused by moving objects. Moreover, its unique Smart iToF mode, combined with a quantum efficiency (QE) of over 40% at the 940nm wavelength, ensures high measurement accuracy even under strong ambient light conditions outdoors.More importantly, the sensor employs a simplified calibration method that eliminates the need for complex movable fixtures, reducing development costs while improving production efficiency.
